The winter is coming, in the form of Liu Biao.

God is against Wu Obi, or perhaps Mi Zhu is against him. Supplies are redistributed shortly before marching. Though 43579 troops are available in Jiangling, there are only enough gold and supplies to hire 4000 troops. Coincidence?

Wu Obi: "We march! Prepare yourselves!"

A crossroad stands before Wu Obi. Will the Chinese bards sing his name from this day forward, or will he be joining the nameless casualties of history? Wu Obi: (How to refuse Duel?) The Battle of Changban, Zhao Yun (51300) against Jia Xu (110900). Would you like to control the battle directly? Wu Obi: "Yes."

[The Battle of Changban]
Wu Obi is granted control over Zhang Fei's units. Jia Xu splits his troops. Jia Xu's 13,230 units guard their main base, a detachment of 18,800 attacks one of Zhao Yun's satellite bases, while the rest 78,870 units are unleashed directly on top of Zhao Yun's main body. Wu Obi, noting that most of assaulting units are archers, decides to prioritize enemy units capable of performing pincer attacks (Horse, Infantry). Zhang Fei's units are ordered to form a straight line against enemy units while Wu Obi flanks from the side.

The line is broken, but to Wu Obi's advantage for the time being.

Wu Obi considers blocking the bridge so that Jia Xu's detachment does not link up with the vanguard, which translates into numerical and pincer threat, but decides against it.

Relentless pincer attacks are working and Jia Xu's armies begin to deteriorate. Then, Zhao Yun's forces are reinforced with 21,300 units.

Wu Obi continues to focus pincer attacks on Horse and Infantry units.

Part of Zhao Yun's units detach from ongoing battle and books it toward enemy's main camp. Having noticed this, Wu Obi orders the units to block both bridges. Although Jia Xu gets past, Wu Obi successfully cuts off rest of enemy units' paths leading back to the main camp.

Jia Xu's camp is now in proper panic mode and Jia Xu orders general retreat back to the main camp. At this time numerical advantage is no longer in Jia Xu's favor. To make matters worse, Jia Xu's retreating units walk right into Wu Obi's trap just beyond the bridge.

Zhao Yun's raiding party eludes Jia Xu's return and rejoins the main body, and together they inflict proper havoc upon Jia Xu's armies by surrounding them from all sides.

Jia Xu's personal unit attempts a rescue effort.

Dead bodies greet Jia Xu's arrival. Jia Xu, alarmed, rushes back to the main base. Having anticipated this, Wu Obi leads his men to personally raid enemy's main camp.

Zhou Yun, having realized Wu Obi's intent, also sends a detachment toward enemy's main camp.

Enemy main camp is being overrun and Jia Xu himself is flanked from both sides.

Glorious. The battle is won.
A Hero is born.

Zhao Yun: "You ranked 3! Excellent work!"

Wu Obi: "Next time, I will surely rank at the top."

A beggar can dream. Wu Obi is rewarded 300 gold for his efforts in battle.

Victory jubilee vanishes as soon as Wu Obi receives an unsettling news.
Han Xuan took advantage of Jiangling's battle for survival and sent his armies under Huang Zhong's command, toward Liu Bei's most vulnerable city.

Fortunately for Wu Obi, Liu Bei redistributes materials, possibly after having overwritten Mi Zhu's heated objections, and Jiangling regains some gold and supplies.
Wu Obi then raises an army of 21,500 with just 120 days of supplies. That was all he was able to afford. Rather than defending, Wu Obi chooses to send the army directly at Wuling, Han Xuan's home city.

Upon receiving news of attack on Wuling, Huang Zhong hurries home despite nearly having captured his objective.
Meanwhile Sima Yi takes advantage of the situation and attacks Liu Biao, granting Liu Bei relief in the north.

Huang Zhong's valiant defensive efforts prove to be surprisingly effective and Wu Obi considers ordering a retreat. However Zhang Fei's march south changes his mind.

At last, Huang Zhong is overcome and Han Xuan's army fell on month 10 of the year 257.

3 officers, including the mighty Huang Zhong, are captured by Zhang Fei's force.
